compass housing

The Compass Housing Alliance provides a wide range of services and housing options for homeless and low-income individuals and families in the Puget Sound region. Lord of Life has had a strong connection with this ministry for many years. Each year the congregation sends a team to provide dinner at the shelter in Seattle, sews quilts for the women's transitional home and sends a financial gift.

October marked the opening of a new ministry - the Veterans Center at 403 S. Second Street across the street from Renton High School! It provides 58 new units of affordable housing to homeless single female and male veterans and veterans with families. Services offered on site by trained staff include counseling, case management, educational and support groups, child and youth programming, a computer lab/library, referrals and linkage to a range of community based organizations and veterans programs.
